First, we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation and grateful thanks to all of you! Your attendance, enthusiasm, and commitment to preventing, recognizing and treating heart disease is always amazing. Over the last 6 years, the board has looked back at our mission statement and longed for time and ways to make education and empowerment a year-long event. This year, in order to implement an ongoing connection with all of you, the luncheon and expo are “going on a walk.” In other words, we will not be hosting out traditional Women’s Luncheon and Expo in 2017, but hope you consider joining us for our Love Your Heart Walk in Landa Park. The annual walk will be larger, with educational opportunities similar to the expo, food and more opportunities for all ages to participate! More details will forthcoming and the event at the civic center will reconvene in 2018.
We need you to help us re-tool and evaluate the Luncheon and Expo as we move forward! Look for a survey on what you like best and want to keep as well as what needs to change. We value all of your opinions and want to continue to serve our community with valuable heart health education.
This year you will hear from us more often with news about heart disease research, fitness tips, nutrition and more tools for you and your family. If you are a business member, we need your input as well. Your presence at our Run/Expo is valuable and we will let you know about shirts and sponsors.
Again, thank you!
Love Your Heart
